| I am Shelana, but chances are you might know me as trillianinspace. What seems like forever ago I got engaged and I immediately began the frantic scramble to plan our wedding. I suddenly found myself veering down the (very stupid) path to becoming a DIY bride as nothing I could find fit the vision I had in my head. Since my now husband, Kevin, is a graphic designer and I have always been the type to create and craft (running the arts & crafts cabin was my favorite part of being a camp counselor!) I invested in a Cricut and we went all in on hand crafting our wedding. The event ended up being so successful (it was even featured in a wedding blog) that people kept telling us to go into business, and slowly from that is when we went from being the only Kraeers on the West Coast to being The West Coast Kraeers, a little hand crafted shop. I come up with the concept, Kevin creates the art, and I make the final product which is where the tagline Made with love and a bit of Black girl magic comes from.
The scope of what we make to sell is always evolving (my craft corner went from one printer and a cricut, to four cricuts, six printers, a laser cutter, a heat press, a mug press, a crafting oven, and many small tools and gadgets) but I found my real knack is helping others navigate the crafting space (I am the moderator of r/cricut and have been dubbed by some members as a cricut oracle and even cricut yoda) which was how the YouTube channel was born.
Whether you’re here to buy from our shop or learn more about crafting, I am so happy you’re here!
